Obstacles

We are all faced with obstacles in life.  Barriers that block our way.  Hurdles that slow us down.  There are many things that can hinder our progress in life.

But sometimes, as we traverse the proverbial bumpy road, it is quite often our attitude towards it that impedes us the most.

Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are all facing some pretty big changes.  Couple this with the everyday challenges that our lives can bring us, and it’s enough to dishearten anyone.

It is okay to feel upset when life knocks us down.  But it is not okay to stay there!  We are dealing with unprecedented times. And it is essential that, now more than ever, we GET…BACK…UP!

This seems to come naturally for some. For the rest it can be a very daunting experience. I am definitely of the latter persuasion. But, with practice, it is getting easier.

Repetition creates habit. After many years of having to force myself to get back up, or being encouraged to carry on by those that care about me, it takes less effort nowadays. It can still be tough, but, in comparison, it is so much easier than it used to be.

If I can see improvements in how I react to life’s many challenges, then anybody can!

You can’t make yourself feel positive, but you can choose how to act, and if you choose right, it builds your confidence.

With all that is happening in our world today, I truly hope that you are all finding reasons to stay positive, and face life’s challenges head-on.
